I've been a freelance journalist since 2021. My written work has appeared in Nature, Technology Networks, Migraine Science Collaborative, Pain Research Forum, Seisma Magazine, and more. I write long and short form news, features, book reviews and opinion pieces.
I'm a part-time writer/editor at Deutsche Welle and have appeared as a science correspondent on Deutsche Welle news. I also host podcasts on Migraine Science Collaborative and Pain Research Forum from time to time.
I earned a PhD in neuroscience from University College London in 2016, and from 2016 to 2020 I was a postdoc at the Max Delbruck Centre in Berlin. I was lead author on multiple research papers and reviews on the topics of pain, touch and temperature sensations, including in Nature Neuroscience and Neuron, and was part of Nobel Prize winning research.
I also write fiction. I'm currently writing a novel titled Lab Life.
