I've been a freelance journalist since 2021.  I write long and short form news, features, book reviews and opinion pieces.

My written work has appeared in Nature, Technology Networks, Migraine Science Collaborative, Pain Research Forum, Seisma Magazine, and more.  I'm a part-time writer & editor at Deutsche Welle and have appeared as a science correspondent on Deutsche Welle news.

I earned a PhD in neuroscience from University College London in 2016, and from 2016 to 2020 was a postdoc at the Max Delbruck Centre in Berlin. I was lead author on multiple research papers and reviews about pain, touch and temperature sensations, including in Nature Neuroscience and Neuron.

I also write fiction. I'm currently (very slowly) writing a novel titled Lab Life.
